To mark 10 years of trading as Precision Pallets and Cases Ltd, Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce recently ran a special feature about the business, where our Director Rick Leach explained how he built up the current business despite many obstacles.
“I’d never had any business acumen, and I’d never had any desire to own my own business. I’d never previously been involved in manufacturing, and I’d never really been involved in production. But I knew that it was an opportunity that would probably never present itself again,” said Rick.
Despite these initial barriers, a decade after taking control of the business Precision Pallets and Cases continues to grow, improve and look to the future to continue to make progress. A lot of this room for growth comes from our customer-centric approach to how we work.
“Some businesses will just manufacture something and not worry about the consequences afterwards,” says Rick. “What we try and do is change that mindset. Quality is paramount. We don’t want anything that we manufacture coming back. We don’t want to rework anything. We don’t have to have to go out on site and inspect something because it’s failed. I believe that’s where our business model differs from our competitors.”
Thanks must go to the Chamber’s Simon Cronin who wrote the piece, which you can read in full by clicking here.
Here’s to another 10 years (and more) of success!
